Fantastical Fashion at Cole’s Couture

I wanted to share with you some yummy new dresses from designer ColeMarie Soleil. A live performer in SL and widely known to the Flickr community, multi-talented Cole has embarked on a whole new SL “hobby”, couture dress creating. With names like “Tick Tick Boom” “Scratched Out” and “Leaf Me Alone”, one quickly sees that Cole has a great imagination and her designs reflect her whimsical personality. Her collection currently standing at seven pieces, Cole is taking a wait and see approach before committing to future additions.

At first glance Requiem for a Raven looks like a little black cocktail dress. Inspecting more closely, one sees it is far more than that. Swirls of feathers dance across the strapless, translucent bodice giving tantalizing glimpses of skin. It is daring and alluring without being blatantly revealing or trashy. At the waist the form fitting top joins a poof of a skirt composed of layer after layer of more feathers. To me, the most remarkable aspect of the dress is its movement. The slightest motion sends the feathers airborne to softly float back into place. Requiem for a Raven is no wallflower and it will turn heads across the grid.

Sonic Surreality is Cole’s entry to the formal gown arena. Completely over the top in details and attachments, Cole has melded them together to create a stunning package that can be worn to any formal event. The skirt is made up of several layers of peacock blue and black feathers that end at the ankle. Also feather-like, the bodice is adorned with a circle of musical notes and symbols that sway with each movement. To further increase the spectacularness of this dress, Cole has included attachments for wings and a headpiece that only enhance its beauty. My favorite piece is the musical notes that when attached, dance merrily around your av’s body. You’ll feel like an artistic masterpiece when wearing this dress! Available in seven colors, Cole is also planning on releasing a completely white version soon.

Cole has completely outdone herself on her first entries to the SL fashion world. Witty, playful and charming, they delightfully fill a niche in the sometimes too serious world of SL fashion!

Sexy!!!! Hot Male Silks

I’M GOING OFF THE BOARD with this weeks post, tackling an outfit that is definitely not mainstream.  SILKS!  Specifically male silks.  A great deal of what we know of as fashion is about feeling and looking sexy and hot.  I think these fit the bill…

Few things are as hot and sexy as putting on Silks, OR your partner putting them on.  Today i’m featuring a set of Silks called Devotion 4 Men form Solange! Fashions/The Silk Raven.  In one word, they are fantastic.

These come with many different prim attachments, with several choices for most items.  For instance there are 2 versions of the arm bands, 3 versions each of the flexi silk in both long and shorts.  Amazing.  But what makes these particularly nice is the fitting system.  No more going into edit and doing stretch or shrinking to get something to fit properly.  These come with something called ScriptFit, and to call it amazing is an understatement.  It is my sincere hope that all prim attachments come with this amazing feature soon.   Simple and easy to fit, even a newbie could do it.  A huge THANK YOU to the genius behind ScriptFit.

Many people associate Silks with Master/Slave relationships, and that is certainly true to an extent.  However it is my experience that most people, even macho types, have at least one set of Silks in their closet.  And hey !!! a little role play never hurt anybody right    And when you put them on you can’t help but get a rush of excitement.  For just pure fun, not to mention a special night with that special someone, Silks just can’t be beat.  I guarantee they will add some zest and excitement to spice up the evening.  I like to wear a jock strap under mine just for that extra naughty touch so I decided to wear the jockstrap for this blog from MD Underwear.  Why not?  SL is supposed to be fun right?  Mixing and matching is part of that.  And after putting on this outfit I’m not having any trouble filling it out :O

These MD Leather Jocks are great.  They come in metallic hues and are great in texture and don’t look like  a tatoo on your skin like some others do.  You’ll be very happy with these ones.

These silks come in many colors, surely one to suit  you.  A matching choker, armbands, anklets, circlet, thong, a thighband and a great shoulder drape in long and short versions.   I’ve chosen to wear the long version in these photographs.   Of course you can mix and match and wear whatever you like.

If you like Silks, or would like to give them a try, I highly recommend these ones.  They are exceptional in every way from the amazing flexi, the great depth of appearance, down to the extremely easy fitting mechanisms.  Treat yourselves to these ones guys, and at the same time your special friend will be delighted too.  It doesn’t get any better than this!

Not only does talented designer Storm Babeli create exquisitely crafted jewels, she also creates beautiful skins, a range for men and women in darker tanned skin tones. The skins are available in many make-up variations with different coloured lips as well as soft eye shadows and thicker dark eyeliner to no eyeliner at all. PUNK WITH STYLE

WELL I’m long overdue for a new blog posting, so here is my latest effort.

This outfit features a great pair of Action Punk Zips that come in varous colors. I think they are exceptional in quality, great textures, great fit, great style and a great look.  They come with an awesome pair of prim suspenders that hang off the hips that you can wear with so many other pants or shorts.  These pants are a ‘must have’ in my opinion.  They are HOT and they are SEXY.  Who doesn’t like that?   Action has some outstanding clothing that you will be sure to want to check out.  Thank you Action!  And a big ‘thank you’ to my friend Doug Pernal for pointing me in Action’s direction.

The top I have on is a great Tank from Casa del Shai called *Shai* Mens Ribbed Tank Top.  They come in many colors and are very versatile.  Those of you that have shopped at Casa del Shai know that this store is famous for excellent textures.   They come in tucked and untucked versions (you get them all) and can be worn with near anything.  The colors and the textures are rich and deep.  These make a fine addition to any wardrobe.  A big thanks to my friend Axl Schridde for introducing me to Casa del Shai.

Next I’d like to focus on the sneakers i have on.  These particular sneaks are causing quite a stir in some circles.  Many believe they are simply the best you can get in SL at this time, and I must agree.  Those of you that know me know i love sneakers, so it’s a subject near to my lil pixel heart.  These ones are called PornStar Hi-Tops MultiColor v2, and yes, they are fully colorable to almost guarantee that you will not NEED to buy another pair of sneakers again.  And the textures?  Simply outstanding.  I LOVE them.  A huge thanks to Mcooter Graves for the LM to these outstanding sneakers.   Thanks Mc.

Now for the accessories, because no matter how great your clothes are (and I’d say these ones are all pretty great) it’s the accessories that pull them all together.  I’d like to introduce you to T17 Designs.  This young guy designs some outstanding jewerly from piercings to necklaces and bracelets.  First I’d like to point out my lip piercings – they come in several styles, and in gold or silver, but what makes them outstanding (besides how great they look) is that you can change the colors by simply typing in chat the color you would like them to be.  The necklace is also created by Trace17 Junkers (the T17 Designs designer).  It is finely detailed silver chain with red/black blocks that tie this whole outfit together.  By the time you are reading this it should be for sale at his shop.  On my right wrist I am wearing a T17 Designs bracelet with flexi straps.  And on my left wrist a truly outstanding design that must be more fully explained to appreciate.  This is no mere bracelet.  Trace17 has created this bracelet with the ability to change color when your significant other appears inworld, or any other assigned friend.  These are ‘custom’ in that Trace17 will put your name of your friend’s name on the bracelet itself, and will need to add whichever person you choose to the key so that it will change color when that person arrives inworld.  When your friend is not inworld, the bracelet is red on silver, when your friend signs on, it turns green!  When turned off (a simple click does it) it is black on a silver background.  He also has created a necklace with these same abilities.  What a wonderful present for you and your loved one or BFF.  I highly recommend this particular item.  KUDOS to Trace17 for his creativity and style.  Thank you Trace.  Clever guy

Whittentons Boots

Whittentons Jewelry have long been known as masterful crafts people creating some of the most exquisite and highly detailed fine pieces of jewelry on SL. Picture me jumping off my chair in excitement now…*giggles* well, you can imagine my delight when I was told by Lizziey Whittenton herself that she is now making boots!! If you asked me what one of my favourite things on SL was (next to my husband Mc) my answer quick, plain and simple would be boots!! These boots have to be inspected in super zoom-in mode so you can truly appreciate the level of detail that these boots contain, one can only imagine the time its taken to create a pair.

Flawless and made to perfection, the boots I’ve taken pics of above, which are some of my personal favourites, come in a lot of colours, there are also several other styles AND Whittentons are now doing fashion! More news about that to come in the very near future…cheers, Jewell
